Danny Amat, a native Floridian of Cuban descent, was both born and raised in Miami. After graduating from high school, he went to the University of Florida and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with high honors. He then earned his law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and graduated with honors. While in law school, he was chosen to be a member and editor of the University of Florida Law Review based on his superior academic performance.

Shortly after graduating from law school, Danny began working as a lawyer defending major insurance companies against negligence claims brought by people injured in accidents. Despite his success as a defense lawyer, he realized that his calling was not to represent insurance companies but to represent people injured by the fault or negligence of others as an Orlando personal injury lawyer.

For the last 30 years, Danny has devoted his time, energy, and talent to fighting for justice on behalf of his injured clients who, through no fault of their own, found themselves in the painful, stressful world of personal injury claims within Florida’s often frustrating civil justice system. Danny has handled injury claims from the date of an accident through settlements without lawsuits and through the trial of the case — throughout this process, he learned that powerful insurance companies do not concern themselves with, or focus on, the pain, needs, difficulties, and frustrations of injured victims. Instead, powerful insurance companies focus on how best they can deny, delay, or defeat claims or pay as little as possible to try to resolve claims. Danny is passionate both about his work and protecting and representing the rights of our clients. His practice with our firm includes handling claims against insurance companies both in personal injury claims and property damage cases.

Danny and his wife Sarah have been married for almost 20 years. They live in Central Florida and have four wonderful children — two daughters and two sons. They have worked hard to help instill qualities including integrity, empathy, fairness, and responsibility in all of their children and teach them the importance of the Golden Rule and a strong work ethic. Danny brings these same qualities with him to work while representing our clients.
